Art After Dark – Queer Stories

Queerstories brings powerful, funny, heartbreaking and deeply human storytelling to the Biennale of Sydney at White Bay Power Station.

A celebrated institution across Australia, Queerstories has entertained audiences from major cities to regional towns, with performances from Mudgee to Murwillumbah, Albury to Adelaide, Brisbane, and beyond. The award‑winning Queerstories podcast now features nearly 500 true queer stories, creating one of the country’s richest archives of LGBTQI+ lived experience.

The much-loved series invites  guests to share the stories they want to tell but are rarely asked — intimate, surprising tales of pride, prejudice, resilience and resistance.

Curated by long‑time host Maeve Marsden, Queerstories has grown a loyal following over more than a decade. Whether you’re a long‑time fan or new to the series, it’s the perfect time to join the community.

Art After Dark offers a multi‑voiced platform for contemporary music that bridges local scenes, experimental practices and large‑scale festival experiences — creating an atmospheric soundtrack for your Biennale journey.
