The Inner West Music Series brings the best emerging artists to the Biennale stage, including BOY SODA — one of Australia’s most exciting new voices in soul and R&B. Fresh off an ARIA win and a sold‑out tour, his live show blends explosive energy with pure, emotional heat.
Across three nights, the Inner West Council Music Series spotlights emerging voices from our own backyard, bringing the sounds, stories and diversity of our local music scene to the Biennale of Sydney's global stage.
Sydney singer, rapper, songwriter and producer, BOY SODA (aka Brae Luafalealo) has firmly cemented his place as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices in soul and R&B. His music pushes the boundaries of genre and emotion, effortlessly blurring the lines between R&B, pop, classic soul and experimental groove.
BOY SODA won the 2025 ARIA Award for Best Soul/R&B release, and is fresh off the back of his Lil Obsession Tour, captivating audiences across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. His live shows, backed by a dynamic band, blend electrifying energy with intimacy, vulnerability and heart.
